You should remove it before upgrade and then install new version after upgrade.

This installed fine and works as advertised. I noticed that it's reported by Zenoss (3.0.2) as version 0.2. Is that an issue?

I noticed that, when installed on 3.0.2, and used to display a graph as a portlet, the right-hand 5-10% of the graph is too far to the right (using two equal vertical columns) and is clipped off. This is with Firefox 4.0 beta 6

Anyone else seeing this?

A bit of egg on my face - I walked through all of my browsers and had all listed as to whether they displayed properly or not. Turns out maximizing the browser fixed the issue, so my bad.

Perhaps what confused me that if the portlet couldn't fit in the screen, I assumed that a scroll bar would show on the bottom, but didn't see one. Maybe I assumed too much?

No, there will be no scroll bar in that case.

Anyway, you could always change graph width in report settings to fit

you screen resoultion.

Unfortunately no but you free to add anything you like.

I was thinking of it before but I just don't know how to do it. It looks

like zoom and scroll buttons are rendered inside Zope and it is not

possible to get this from javascript via RPC or something.

I tried to add this Zenpack, but nothing happens (no errors, nothing). Do I need to install 1.01 BEFORE 1.03?

Never had a problem installing Zenpacks before, but I haven't installed a whole lot TBH

I had some problems getting this ZenPack to work. I did the following to register the Zenpack AFTER I installed the it:

from zendmd do the following (not the absolute path specified for sourcepath!!! you need to adjust it):

from Products.ZenModel.ZenossSecurity import ZEN_COMMON

from Products.ZenUtils.Utils import zenPath

zpm = app.zport.ZenPortletManager

zpm.register_portlet(sourcepath='ZenPacks/ZenPacks.SCC.ShowGraphPortlet-1.03-py2.6.egg/ZenPacks/SCC/ShowGraphPortlet/lib/ShowGraphPortlet.js',id='ShowGraphPortlet',title='Show Graph',permission=ZEN_COMMON)

You can change graph size in graph report settings. It should work.

Try to install in zenoss 3.1.0, Python 2.6, Showing successful install in ZenPacks, but not showing anything in the dashboard, add portlet page or advanced portlets page, no error in the logs. Please help!

Do you have a complete new installation of Zenoss?

May be this is a key for a problem, because after I did upgrade of

Zenoss to the latest release and then reinstalled zenpack evrth works

fine for me.

Forgive a newbie here, but I still don't understand. Do you mean go into the Zope manager, as in

http:<mysite>8080/manage and look for Products/ZenModel and so forth? When I go there, Products.ZenModel has nothing but portal_help.

What am I doing wrong?

The code that tijmen gave is to be entered into the zendmd command line, which you can get into by being logged into the command prompt as the zenoss user (su - zenoss) and typing "zendmd"

Please note that the lines Tijmen gave are python syntax.

The "locate blah" is a command that most linux machines run from the command line (not zendmd). Locate uses a database of all the files on your system and allows you to find certain files quickly. It also lists your path. You can then stick this path into the zendmd code tijmen gave.

Yeah thanks, I was quite confused as you could tell. that zendmd is not working right for me. Hello! adding these into zendmd made my ZenPack change and now I can get LISTS out of zendmd for instance.

I can't tell if it works or not. It installs and deletes. Do you have a test?

Okay i have a wierd issue. i am running 3.2.1 and it installs and i can add it to the dashboard. i have three graph reports and one multi graph report defined but in the portlet when i goto select them i get a blank drop down.

Here's how I installed on Zenoss 4.2.0:

download zenpack source from https://github.com/zenoss/ZenPacks.SCC.ShowGraphPortlet
as user zenoss on zenoss server unzip .zip file, cd into zenpack directory
"python setup.py install" (probably "python setup.py build" would work here)
"cd dist"
"zenpack --install=ZenPacks.SCC.ShowGraphPortlet-1.03-py2.7.egg"
"zenpack --list" and verify that it got installed
"zopectl restart"

If your Zenoss 4.2.0 server has direct internet connectivity, zenpack --fetch might be a simplier approach:

Hello, I have been trying to display graphs for the events and several devices in my zenoss-4.2.3. I tried installing http://wiki.zenoss.org/ZenPack:Show_Graph_Portlet and ShowPortlet for 4.2.x. There were not any errors during command line installation. So I assume installation was successful.

After that "Add Portet" showed up on my zenoss UI. I then tested and tried adding new graphs. Nothing popped up except a blank portlet using "Add Portlet"

Second step, I tried following this link: [followed all steps pretty much what Matt Ray said]

But again I was not able to get anything. Instead it sent me "A Zenoss Error has occcured" errors.

I checked my permission issues, confirmed if I have the right graph location (I right clicked one of my graph and copied image location, and then trim off part after &drange=..... and pasted it. Is it right step? copying image location??]
