The files on SVN are newer than those in version 1.23. I could convert the ZenPack version 1.23 but not the one on SVN.

This sounds like a great zenpack, have you been able to make any progress on a 3.0 version? I would be glad to help out with testing it.

Any progress on this, either from David or Snake-BIS? Would love to have it in 4.2.3.

Well, it took a bit of kluding but I got this to work. You need more perl modules than are listed above. Maybe these shipped with earlier Zenoss Core versions but they don't with 4.x. LWP (libwww-perl) was already installed. Here's what I had to install:

yum install perl-XML-Simple

yum install net-snmp-perl

yum install perl-Crypt-SSLeay

And on the net-snmp module, it expected there to be a different directory setup than it was on the CentOS 6 package. It installed into /usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl/SNMP.pm, so Net::SNMP won't work. You either need to create symlink so /usr/lib64/perl5/Net/SNMP.pm goes to that file or edit check_hpbladechassis and change it ot just "use SNMP;"

But even once I did that, I didn't realize the info would be so basic. I'm hoping I can work with the MIBs from HP to get more info.
