      <description>&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyStart:87f36e1d-0b1f-405e-963d-bb048ba5c07c] --&gt;&lt;div class="jive-rendered-content"&gt;&lt;p&gt;I have a BASH script that I've been using for about 2 years to collect MQ channel depth, that if you're interested i'll happily contribute to your project.&amp;#160; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;It's designed to work against both Windows and *nix platforms, and, rather than using a remote agent, remotely executes "runmq" commands (via SSH on *nix and "winexe" on Windows) and returns the output.&amp;#160; It could probably be easily rewritten to accept arbitrary commands as input, but should probably be written in something other than BASH.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;It might be easier to manage, though, than dealing with a remote agent (and the fear that the remote agent might interfere with system function).&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;On Windows 2003 servers and above, a dummy service has to be created on the remote end using the "sc" command, but other than that it uses the default Zenoss config properties.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:87f36e1d-0b1f-405e-963d-bb048ba5c07c] --&gt;</description>
