This looks very useful, but it doesn't appear to be 3.0 compatible...is a 3.x version scheduled?

ZenPack is compatible with 3.x version. We are running it in our 3.0 version as-is without any issue. We will be rebuilding the ZenPack with python 2.6 and upload it soon.

Suchitra, thanks for the reply, I have updated the 3.x status of this ZenPack. Did you have to change any of the code to get it to work with pythin 2.6 and zenoss 3.x? Please make sure to make a comment here (so me and j053ph4 get notified) when you upload the new .egg, and make sure to send a github pull request with the new code to our http://github.com/zenoss/Community-ZenPacks repository, or send me the code.

I'm trying to set up the remote agent, and it looks like there might be a couple of defs missing in the file "winservice.py" included with the agent. The agent installation is failing to import "setOption, getOption" from winservice.py, and i see it's not defined in the file. Any ideas?

Nick, we did not change any code to make it work in Zenoss 3.x. However we can re-package the ZenPack with python 2.6 and send you the new ZenPack.

Joseph, winservice.py file is not missing any defs. See excerpts from the script below:

However -- as above defs show, these functions use functions from pywin32 library -- the prerequisite for this ZenPack.

Please make sure to install the prerequisite libraries (in the correct PYTHONPATH)

I'm running into an issue now where i can't get this to install on a 3.1 server...hopefully you can help?

When I try via the GUI, i get no output, but installing from the CLI, i get:

just wanted to note that i was able to get the zenpack installed by removing the '-py2.4' from the .egg filename as mentioned in another thread.

also can you please check the version of 'winservice.py' that ships with this pack? it doesn't have the subroutines mentioned above.
