Weathermap has a per-node and per-link set of variables you can use in substitutions. You can also set those from a datasource plugin (see for example the cactithold plugin). Potentially those two together would allow you skip the preprocessing step...

Also, the most recent versions of weathermap *do* support quotes for pathnames. I think a proper Zenoss datasource is more useful though.

I am getting 2 errors that I cannot figure out.

The frist is whenever I run the perl script I get:

which gives me an error on the "[['zenevets" line when i try to run it against the php script.

Right now I am just running a sed line to delete those line in the file.

but the second error in just viewing the html file. I get errors on page.

The mouse over graphs are not showing up and the error I get is because of that line.

The script seems to crash on my conf file at the LINK lines:

I'll have to look at the regex and see if it is not liking the device names or something.

You can see that the http:/172.27.0.50 is missing a / and the username/password are not being set.

I'm using 2.5.1. It appears something has changed with the findDevicePath command in Zenoss?

Looks like the "ifHCOutOctets_ifHCOutOctets" should only be "ifHCOutOctets" in the LINK declaration.

Also, The RPN in the LINKS declaration should read "*8" and not just "8" as there will not be the multiplier operation applied without the *

I was able to make this work, using zenoss version 2.4.1.

convert_map.pl completes without problems, but the weathermap threw this error:

10x, it works

Actually i have some sort of distributed collector, so the overlay traffic graphs were not working.. (because the link of the graph is using the distributed collector renderer url). So the idea is prety simple if the link for the render starts with http, do not add before it the http stuff for the "managament server"

here is some small (ugly) patch, but it works for me
