You're welcome, Rodrique! Thanks for your feedback on the script. It has helped me to clean up some bugs and make it much better than it previously was.

I just updated this how-to as well. This script works on Zenoss Core 2.4.5 and 2.5.0.

This has allowed me to sleep at nights and for that I thank you! I have used it now on many systems, and have run into my first issue.

The Python script seems to use the URL http://zenoss-master.domain.com:8080..... to acknowledge the event. I am now gettign a non zero return because I am using a Apache Proxy with SSL. So that URL is not avaialble; however if it was changed to http://localhost:8080... it would work for me. Is there a way to do this? I can hack at things for a while but I am not a programmer and barely scratched the surface of PYTHON.

Any help?

Glad you've put this script to use!

The script itself is URL independent. There are no URL's hardcoded into the script. It seems like this could possibly be related to the Apache proxy. Feel free to shoot me a personal email with some of the errors you're seeing from the Python sciprt.

I figured it out. Products/ZenEvents/zenactions.py on line 754:

default='http://%s:%d' % (socket.getfqdn(), 8080),

To do what I wanted, I changed it to:

default='https://%s' % socket.getfqdn(),
