It is not working for me on Ubuntu 8.04 LTS. I am using .deb v2.5.1 provided by Zenoss. First I had to figure out how to make the 'pgsql' module for Python2.4. When eventually everything was fixed while testing from my monitoring box from shelllike this:

./check_postgresql_stats.py -H <my_ip> -u <user> -w <passwd>

I am getting correct response from server:

RRD files are not created.

Where I can find the logs for troubleshooting problems like that? I tried everything what came to my mind but haven't found anything.

I installed a fresh version of this and found that the Data Source had a Postgresql Database Name field populated with ${here/zPostgresqlDatabase} by default. However, that zProperty was never defined in the zenpack itself.

You can either change that manually in the datasource, or update the zenpack by editing $ZENHOME/ZenPacks/ZenPacks.LearningObjects.PostgresqlMonitor-1.1-py2.4.egg/ZenPacks/LearningObjects/PostgresqlMonitor/__init__.py and adding:

('zPostgresqlDatabase', '', 'string'),

to the packZProperties list

just installed on a brand new 2.5.2, Ubuntu 9.10 server, but the posgres server is also a new install and running

Version: 8.4.2-0ubuntu9.10. Still learning zenoss, have the dependency met or so I think, but still getting an;

Error importing pgsql module. This is a pre-requisite.

Am I safe to say it's my zenoss and need to do more python research or is this not working under pgsql 8.4 yet?
