Hi!

I realize this there hasn't been much activity for this ZenPack in awhile, but thought I'd check... I have recently acquired Sentry Smart CDUs for my datacenter, and I'm using Zenoss Core 4.2 as part of my monitoring/alerting stack. I was surprised to find that a ZenPack existed for these CDUs, but unfortunately not for the newer version. Is there still any work going on with this ZenPack or plans to port it to newer versions? And if not, how tough would it be for a ZenPack newbie (but who does know Python) to port it?

So most packs actually don't need any updates to work. They generally just need to be re-packaged for the lastest version. The new auto-build system is up and running and I added this pack to the list to build. Please go to http://wiki.zenoss.org/ZenPack:Sentry_CDU_Monitor and you should find a 4.2 download link. Give it a shot.

I'd like to stress that just because a version is available for download, doesn't mean its been tested. You should try it on a test server first to be sure.
