Hello,

i get the following error message when i try to install the zenpack from the command line(web install does not work either):

FYI....

Use SNMP v2c at the minimum to monitor an ASA, and reduce the number of OID's in the zproperties for the class you put them in or at the device level to only query 20 OID's simultaneously.

Monitoring an ASA 5510, the ZenPack discovered the following for the OS:

Anyone seen similar? Anyone have a fix?

elevin, have you checked the Products section of Zenoss to see if there is an entry under Cisco which matches 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.669? If there is, compare it to the other entries, there may be an issue with it. If there is no entry for 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.669 under Cisco then create one (make it look like the ones that are already there). You will also want to navigate to the Unknown organizer under Products and remove 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.669 if it is present.

Thanks for this zenpack.

We have an ASA that handles ssl vpn ras sessions. I added a graph to monitor the number of active connections. This was especially important for us, since our users are fond of the AnyConnect client, and we have a much lower license limit on these types of connections then ipsec. Note these OIDs are only present in version 8 of the asa code, not 7.

crasWebvpnNumSessions: 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.392.1.3.38.0

crasWebvpnPeakConcurrentSessions: 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.392.1.3.40.0

I did some testing, and found the crasWebvpnNumSessions OID returns a value that is a cumulative count of both AnyConnect client sessions, and ssl vpn web portal (clientless) sessions, both of which count against the ssl vpn licenses.

I did. I also tried it zipped and tried it in via the web interface both ways as well, via the web I am getting a totally different error with the zipped file:

Output:

zenpack --install /tmp/ZenPacks.Firestar.CiscoASA-2.1.1-py2.6.egg.zip

And on the unzipped pack, with out pasting it all in here I basically get a permission denied on every line for the most part.

Hello,

if you have permission denied, please check the rights of your /usr/local/zenoss/zenoss folder. User Zenoss should be able to read and write.

Do you have the same problem with other ZenPack?

Please also note that version 2.1.1 is for Zenoss 3.0.0

I also got this. I had the product/manufacturer, and I thought that might be the problem, so I tried deleting Cisco and remaking it, and now I have the error for "products" instead of "rrdTemplates".

Note for anyone running into the following error when trying to view "IpInterfaces":

( ProgrammingError (1064, "You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '0' interface') and severity >= 1 and eventState <= 1 group by severity desc' at line 1") )

There is a patch which needs to be applied to fix this. Even if you previously applied it and then upgraded to 3.0.2 you will have to do it again (as I just had to do it). Here's a thread with more info: http://community.zenoss.org/thread/14037

The interface speeds on my ASA 5505 appear as "unknown". Anyone else see this? I'm running 1.0 of this zenpack on Zenoss 2.5.2.

The Zenpack installed just fine for me, however when adding a new ASA in Zenoss the ZenDisc shows an error and device creation runs forever. If I stop the job after 2-3 minutes, the ASA is there and after I remodel it everything works fine. You can see more details here : http://community.zenoss.org/thread/15137?tstart=30

There is some extra junk at the very end of the objects.xml in the zenpack that causes this (the zendoc property error, which causes installation of the zenpack to fail) -- deleting the sixteen lines before the final </objects> tag clears it up. IE, delete these lines from the objects.xml...

Doing an snmpwalk for the complaining OID I get:

As far as I know all the settings in the device template are correct. Any suggestions on how I can fix?

Hi..

i realize this is an old thread.. but i have the same problem.. no interface graphs is showing..

I run Zenoss Core 3.1.0 on CentOS

I dont have any CPU Util' graph showing.. when i do a SNMPwalk it returns:

SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.5.1 = Gauge32: 9

So it seems the data is getting to the server? (The Memory graph are showing just fine)

Any insight on this?

The ironic part is if you just take version 1.0 of the pack and change the .py2.4 to .py2.6 for Zenoss 3 or .py2.7 for Zenoss 4 it installs and works perfectly fine. I don't know what change was made in the 2.1.1 version but it was apparently pointless and causes it to error out when installing.

As stated in my previous comment, just download the 1.0 version of the pack and rename the file so that it's -py2.7 instead of -py2.4 and it will install in Zenoss 4.

Because you didn't download the 1.0 version of the pack like I said. Don't use the 2.1.1 version, it's broken for some reason. I don't even know why it was created since the 1.0 version works perfectly fine in any version of Zenoss.
