hey man, it doesnt seem like its doing the check remotely because its keep giving me an error saying that it cant find the file or directory, but i did verify that its there...

How could i debug this? i suspect something with SSH not working but the alert just gives me no output

apparantly zenoss doesnt know where to grab mysql on line 6 in that script, after replacing it with the full path name it works

Hi,

Im new at configuring zenpacks and was having trouble getting this zenpack to work. It installs just fine and after it is installed I go to the remote MySQL machine to set up the configuration. Under configuration properties for the remote MySQL machine I set the zCommandUsername and password for SSH as well as the zMySqlusername and password for the machine. I then bind the template to the device and when I click on the MySQLSSH template the default command template is as follows: ${here/ZenPackManager/packs/ZenPacks.community.MySQLSSH/path}/libexec/check_mysql.sh ${here/zMySqlUsername} ${here/zMySqlPassword}

This seems to only get me information from the localhost. I have also tried your code above and placed the check_mysql.sh at the home directory of the remote MySQL machine. When I test the code template: /home/${here/zCommandUsername}/check_mysql.sh ${here/zMySqlUsername} ${here/zMySqlPassword} against my remote MySQL device I receive the error: "Executing command /home/root/check_mysql.sh zenoss password2 against latisnort01 /bin/sh: /home/root/check_mysql.sh: No such file or directory". Is this the correct area to specify the file location of check_mysql.sh on the remote MySQL machine? I am able to SSH the command from any computer and receive the MySQL information back and I am certain the file is in the location. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

make sure the mysql check file does exist on the remote location in the folder you sepcify

Hi,

i've installed zenpack and copied check_mysql.sh to remote server..when am tring to test with /home/${here/zCommandUsername}/check_mysql.sh ${here/zMySqlUsername} ${here/zMySqlPassword} from zenoss it showing "No such file or directory" but in the reomte host file is placed at home/<username> directory"

any one help me!!!!
