When I attempted to install this on Zenoss 3.0.2 on CentOS 5, I got the following error:

Richard, with your modified instructions, it installed nicely, bound nicely and the graphs show up. I'm getting this error, however:

In looking in Prefs.pl, I found the line in question, and ran it manually. This is what I got:

./naviseccli -Timeout 20 -user zenoss -password 15zenoss -scope 0 -address 10.15.5.152 reserved -lunpool -list
This version of Core Software does not support Snapview

Does this mean that our verson of EMC firmware doesn't support displaying RLP information?

Hello,

this is because you don't have that wonderfull Snapview option on your SAN . I didn't know that navicli would return an error if the licence was not here.

I'll make a modification on the next release so that everything related to RLP will be on another perf template so that you can activate it if you need it!

If you don't want any error, just remove the following items on the performance template :

- SP_RLP

- RLPlowdisks

- RLPusedfull

- RLP LUNs

- RLP Size

- RLP Usage

I'll make a separate template as soon as I have a little spare time

Hello,

It took me less time than I thought

Version 1.2.1 is out. I just splitted the 2 templates (Basic and RLPs). I'll take this model for the next releases so that this licence problem is not raised again .

Just remove the actual version you have (1.2.0) and install the new one (1.2.1) and that's it !

Add new device class - \Devices\Storage\SAN

Bind one template - EMCClariionSPPerf

Add 2 EMC SP to this category

Create new user with monitoring rights on EMC side

Change zCommandUsername and zCommandPassword in ZenOSS configuration properties

and afte all that I recieve messages like this:

INSTALLATION / USAGE:

Create device class "/Devices/Storage/SAN" before installing this ZenPack
Bases on your system, you might change the path of the NaviCLI under the scripts in libexec.
- On Debian systems, it's located under /opt/NaviSphere/bin
Don't forget to bind the template and to fill in 'zCommandUsername' and 'zCommandPassword' with the login/password of your Clariion bay.

Having a little bit of an issue. I've installed the NaviCLI (version:7.31.0.3.66) -- Not sure if this is my issue.

ZenPack Dependencies: EMC NaviCLI version 6.29.0.6.1 or earlier

I'm getting command timeout from both the SP_RLP and SP_Perf data sources.

When I take a look at the perfs.pl script that these souces use I see an ARG for $id but it doesn't seem to be used by the data sources:

I don't remember what is this $id. I don't have access anymore to Test Clariion. Maybe it comes from the NaviCli version. They might have changed something with this new version.

Just to add to the conversation.

I'm running zenoss 3.1.0 on CentOS 5.6.

I ran into the same problem as w6bi trying to install the precompiled egg so I recently git cloned the community zenpacks and ran the build.sh on this and installed the egg.

The resulting egg installed without error.

I then installed NaviCLI-Linux-64-x86-en_US-7.30.11.0.55-1.x86_64.rpm. ( I don't have the older versions)

I tested /opt/Navisphere/bin/naviseccli and found certificates may be a problem. In removed and readded the package selecting low security.

Then I ran into the same problem with perfs.pl as rojter did and I also do not have the snapview license so I reset bindings but also added a conditional statement to perfs

I'm getting the perf graphs now

I am running Zenoss 4.2 on centos 5 and want to monitor a EMC2 AX4 SAN. As you suggested i have installed the NaviCLI 7.31.33.0.41 and its under the locaton /opt/Navisphere.Now when i try to install the Zenpack ZenPacks.community.Clariion-1.2.1-py2.6.egg its throwing error as

You have the wrong egg file. Try renaming it to py2.7 rather than 2.6.

The 2.6 egg is for Zenoss 3G

I'm not sure if statistic logging is available for AX4 arrays.

Is necessary install NaviCLI 6.29.0.6.1 I already install on Zenpack emc clariion but don´t work RLP graphics

Im installed NaviCli 7.30.0.15

Can you tell me if this will work with an EMC VNX 5500? It definitely has Clarion guts in it.
