Has anyone tested this on Zenoss 2.5.2?? I assume the file will need renaming to drop the py2.6 - nay other comments?

Trying to install this on 3.0.3 gives the following error:

I installed, and nothing.

All the graphs just give me nan.

I do have the WMI Data Source installed, as I am using Terminal Services wmi Zenpack installed which is working.

I have clean install of Zenoss 3.0.3

I'm sorry, but I don't exactly understand what you are asking. I know very little about wmi, except that it can be used to query.

Could you tell me where I run the wmi query, on what server do I run it, and what exactly is the query command I need to run.

by default wmi class for exchange 2007 is not ready on your exchange server.

check ms support site but maybe this action could solve your issue

A) on the exchange server "wmiadap /f"

B) on the exchange server "wmiadap /resync"

C) restart the windows management (wmi) service.

See if that works for you.

i would like to start out by saying i am VERY new to Zenoss in general.

I downloaded about 20 Zenpacks to install, then i went to the advanced tab in the zenoss dashboard and clicked "zenpacks" then "install".

the problem i am having is that some of the packs are not showing up (installing) in the list. or they come up as "broken". i made sure to download the 2.6 files (vs. the 2.4 which are for the 2.X version of zenoss).

i am running zenoss 3.1, any help to do a proper install would be much appreciated.

An intersting comment here is that I am in touch with someone who has already done a 2010 exchange zenpack, but had issus with getting his ZenPack exported or something like this. spawn!!! can you send me an email so that I can see if this other party wants to try again? ny...@zenoss.com

I've been trying to get this working with Zenoss 3.0.3.

I've ran a manual query up agains the server in question using WMI CIM Studio. It's returning values. But my graphs on both the devices I'm trying to monitor all say nan.

I've also gone back uninstalled WMI data source, SQL datasource and the Exchange 2007WMI datasource. Reinstalled all and still nothing.

Have you try to poll manually the information from your exchange server ?

You can go directly in advanced/Monitoring template/Wmiexchange2007 , select a data source and do :

test against server : yourseverhost

that should return something like that :

Preparing Command...

Executing query: "SELECT ActiveClientLogons, AverageDeliveryTime, ClientLogons from Win32_PerfRawData_MSExchangeIS_MSExchangeISMailbox WHERE name='_Total'"

If not, you can use wbemtest directly on your server to check if the classe Win32_PerfRawData_MSExchangeIS_MSExchangeISMailbox exist. If not, you can try this :

run : wmiadap /f and recheck if the classe has been loaded.

You can try to reload all perf counter by using this command as administrator :

run : lodctr /r

I have do that for a similar problem, but for me, i have received event with this erro : wbem_e_invalid_class.

I hope that's can help you or other people who's have same issue... and sorry for my bad english too..

Ok, now on your exchange server if you do :

run wbemtest

- connect

namespace : root\cimv2

- connect

enum instance

superclasse name : Win32_PerfRawData_MSExchangeIS_MSExchangeISMailbox

check recursive and OK

did that return you some information, like your storage group ?

If yes, now we can turn our attention to zenoss directly.

So it's working on the Windows machine, and if I run this command from my

Hum ok,

If you take a look at your daemons, do you see the zenperfwmi deamon ? This daemon come with the WMI Data source old version like 2.11 and previous. In the present version this daemon has been change for the zenperfsql. You should try to restart this daemon. If nothing changes, try to run them in debug mode and take a look at your log file.

If you don't know how to put them in debug mode, go in advanced/daemons , select the daemon, edit config and change the log severity to debug. Save and restart daemon.

Take a look at your log when you query the device.

in command line: zenperfsql run -v10 -d TheNameofTheDeviceInZenoss

zenperfwmi run -v10 -d TheNameofTheDeviceInZenoss

Do you see any error ?

Let me first say thank you very much for the assistance. I think I'm like

one setting away from getting this to work now.

One issue I still seem to be having going over your

latest debugging attempt is that zenperfsql seems to just die without

any explanation in the logs. I will go into the web config and start the

deamon, it runs for a bit then just stops. This isn't all of it, but this

is the last 10 lines of the log file.
