Description:

This SNMP AIX ZenPack models PCI cards, hard disks, logical volumes, physical volumes, filesystems, volume groups, print queues, CDROMs, printers, tape drives, software, CPUs, memory, paging spaces and LPAR information.

This AIX zenpack contains sub device components

volume_group -> logical_volume -> filesystem
                               -> paging
volume_group -> physical volume-> hdisk
                               -> vpath

It uses a point threshold on the print queue to send an alert when a queue goes offline. It includes all of the menus for changing monitoring on the new components. Hardware and software is mapped to the appropriate vendor, eg IBM.

     Installation:

Follow this link to the Cacti forums for instructions on how to setup AIX SNMP for this support. This ZenPack requires the Point Threshold for installation. It also requires the creation of the /Mibs/AIX subfolder in the MIBs tab. The author reports that AIX's SNMP support seems poor and the daemons are crashing and that there is a new patch on IBM's website that might fix this issue.
