Nagios import issue

Hi there,

So sorry if I post in the wrong place but I'm new into the forum and would like to know if you have any improvements about the subject since the post "Nagios configuration to XML for Zenoss import" published at June, 2007. I'm now in the same challenge and would be very glad if you have a step by step procedure to aim this objective. I started reading the topic and follow the instruction but could not get so far. I'd like to import all configs and logs of Nagios to a Zenoss test.

We do have Nagios installed in our environment and been quite functional but it's time to improve our monitoring tool and to agregate more functionalities on it. Also and despite of it's not your major objective, I know that a CMDB is included on Zenoss.

Can you help me with that?

    Re: Nagios import issue
I'm not aware of any active support for automatically migrating Nagios installations.  For most Nagios migrations users just install Zenoss, discover their devices and then bring over any existing Nagios plugins they need migrated.  You can add your Nagios plugins with Command data sources, outlined here: 6.2 2 Performance Monitoring

    Good luck!

That is correct.  Nothing from your Nagios logs would be used by

Zenoss.  If you have written custom Nagios plugins, you could migrate

those if you still need them.

    Thanks,
