Writing a Zenoss Performance Collector

Hi All,

 

In Zenoss Developer's guide for version 2.4, I found the statement saying:

"See the section "Writing a Zenoss Performance Collector" for more details."

 

But I didn't find any such section in the document. When I searched through the Zenoss community I found like : zenoss introduced "Chapter 8.Writing A Zenoss Performance Collector " in 2.2.3 developer guide.

 


I'm not able to afind this doc on zenoss site. Please can anyone help me in this regard.

I'm trying to create a performance daemon for my applciation. Any inputs on this are welcome..

    This is a documentation bug. For 2.4, see:

    docs/DOC-3128

    You might also want to look at 2.5 docs:

    docs/DOC-3823

     

    They did a lot of documentation cleanup for 2.5 (though a bunch changed

    in the code too)...

     

    I'd target any new development on 2.5.

    Already I have gone through that part of documentation in 2.4 but it is not clear though.

    Please anyone can help me some how in this regard.

    Hello,

     

    you can try to use ODBC DataSource for you Oracle Monitoring ZenPack. How to use it, you can find in docs/DOC-3388. Additionaly on your Zenoss server you need unixODBC and Oracle ODBC drivers from Oracle Instant Client. If you are interested, I can assiste you.
