HP Proliant MIBS

Hello everybody!

I'm pretty newbie with Zenoss 2.5 (I just did the installation couple days ago)...I was able to install the Cisco MIBS, and it took like 5 hours to do it, and then I installed some others ZenPacks (VMWare, Cisco, etc)..but now I'm trying to install the HP Proliant MIBS and it doesnt work...doing it from the command line, I dont get errors, no failed or success, nothing..just the command prompt appears after 5-10 seconds, the same if I do from the GUI....but it doesnt appears in my MIB's tab, I only see the Cisco and Vmware MIBS...there is not steps for the installation, it should pretty straight forward, so I don't know what is the problem...anyone can help? any ideas?? BTW, I restarted every time I installed a new Zenpack the complete Zenoss program (zenoss restart)

Thanks!!

Jose

I also could not install the ZenPack. I tried from the commandline and from within Zenoss with the same result. Only error message in the Event Console was "Unable to install ZenPacks-1.HP.Proliant.MIBs-1.1-py2.4.egg. Anyone esle have any suggestions?

I heard on the forums they re-wrote zenmib in 2.5, so maybe it's not

compatible with older mib methods and zenpacks?

I dug into this a bit and it appears the version attached to the HP ProLiant MIBs page was broken, but the version in source control works.  So I've rebuilt it and put the working version back on the page.  Please verify for yourself.

Ok Matt. Thanks for the quick response. I was able to install using the command line. Thanks for everyones comments. I just started using Zenoss and am very impressed. I've been able to solve several server problems by proper monitoring of the servers with Zenoss.
