For the love of God........ Has anyone been successful with Solaris 10?

I have only found one single post of someone claiming to be successful installing Zenoss on Solaris 10.
Has anyone sucessfully installed Zenoss 2.3 or 2.4 on Solaris 10? Many of us are stuck with UltraSparcIIIi processors that will not run anything but Solaris. Please point me to any thread, post, blog, snippet, paper napkin....... anything with instructions.
For what its worth I followed the instructions in this thread on three different tries but it failed to install every time:

You might want to join the Solaris group. There was an OpenSolaris howto externally that got pulled. I run Zenoss on PPC Debian from source if Linux is an option.
Thanks, I took a look in the Solaris group but nothing new posted there since late last year and it doesnt look like anyone has had any sucess. I think its apperent that the Zenoss folks have no interest in promoting anything other than a Linux install (at least with Zenoss Core). Thats a real shame because there are a ton of us using Sparc based machines that would really get on board with a working source install.
It's not that we don't care, we just don't have the resources to support Solaris properly. I know there are a handful of Solaris installations out there, so this isn't impossible (I just wish that document had been mirrored). The FreeBSD instructions may prove useful, I recommended the Solaris group because I thought you might be able to hash out details with other Solaris users. All that said, we are working on making our build more understandable and accessible to external developers and would love to have participation from any and all users of currently under-supported platforms. I should have an announcement out soon about upgrades to our Subversion source tree to Python 2.6 and Zope 2.12, and we intend to help external parties package Zenoss for other distros (ie. OpenSolaris, FreeBSD, Ubuntu, Fedora, etc.).
Thanks for the replies Matt, I will keep seaching/experimenting. I love the product and have it running on a couple of older Sun machines that have Ubuntu installed. Its just these crazy Sun Ultra Sparc IIIi processors in the Sun V245s, they just refuse to run anything but Solaris.
So if I get this right the python running under to hood will pass to 2.6? This might help with getting LDAP authentication to work on Core then.
Is this for a 2.5.2 release?
Manuel
No, 2.5.2 is strictly a maintenance release, so it will use the same platform as all of 2.5 (Python 2.4, Zope 2.11.2, etc.). The next release ("Stone Crab") will be based on Python 2.6 and Zope 2.12. That is currently Subversion trunk and where we will be making build changes to make things much friendlier for external users. I'm pretty sure 2.5.x will fail to run on Python 2.6.
