Issue with VMWare Virtual Machines ZenPack

Hey guys,
I downloaded the VMWare VM ZenPack and installed it without issue. Before I installed it, I created the new ESX class. After installation, I assigned the VirtualMachines collector plugin to that class, and edited the zPythonClass filed to include "ZenPacks.vmware.VirtualMachines.VMDevice".
I have changed my ESX server to the ESX class, and most of the data seems to be working (NICs, filesystems, routes, hardware info, performance graphs, etc.) There is also a new Virtual Machines tab, though there is nothing under this tab. Does anyone have any ideas, or suggestions, on what I can do to make the tab work?
I have the same issue.
I had the same problem at first. I am running ESXi with SNMP enabled so it should be similar to yours. I set this up, remodeled the devices several times and tried various other things. The process that fixed it for me is this (may be difficult in productions environments):
1. Remove the device from Zenoss
2. Restart Zope
3. Add the device back to Zenoss directly into the /Devices/Server/ESX Class
4. Remodel the device
I am not sure why this fixed it, but it is what did it for me.
Thanks for the recommendation. I will give this a try. I also found out that I need NetSNMP installed where check_esx2 is not working due to a missing NetSNMP.pm.

After installing NetSNMP and running check_esx2, I get this error ... Error: No VMWare SNMP ub-agent running (vmware-snmpd) ... Can someone tell me what this is?
Which version of ESX are you running? Is it ESX or ESXi? Not sure if I can help, but I will try.
It looks like we are running ESX from what I see in the ESX name in vSphere.
Have you verified the SNMP service is running on the ESX Host? Are you able to do an snmpwalk from Zenoss?
I have found a document that describes how to setup the SNMP in ESX 4, which greatly differs from past versions. Please see http://www.vmware.com/pdf/vsp_4_snmp_config.pdf.
SNMP was configured on the ESX but the sub-agent is not.
I was able to snmpwalk to the device using OID 1.3.6.1.4.1 but not to 1.3.6.1.4.1.6876.
The PDF linked is very helpful.
Thank you for the help. We will configure the SNMP sub-agent and test.
