Hi
Quick question for you all regarding the reason why we are getting a "Error reading value for "rpm" on XXXXXXX (oid 1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10892.1.700.12.1.6 is bad)" when a manual snmpwalk comes back with a suitable value: /usr/local/zenoss/common/bin/snmpwalk -v2c -cpublic aa.bb.cc.dd 1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10892.1.700.12.1.6
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.674.10892.1.700.12.1.6.1.1 = INTEGER: 1900
What is it that I need to change in order that I can keep a check on the temperatures and fan RPM.
Test with SNMPGet. See if that returns the OID ok... You'll notice for
instance in your result that it adds .1.1 to the end of the OID you're
actually polling, so for snmpget, it's a bad OID.

a smnpget does indeed fail as it stands at the moment:
/usr/local/zenoss/common/bin/snmpget -v2c -cpublic aa.bb.cc.dd 1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10892.1.700.12.1.6
Error in packet
Reason: (noSuchName) There is no such variable name in this MIB.
Failed object: SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.674.10892.1.700.12.1.6
and when I add the .1.1 to the end:
/usr/local/zenoss/common/bin/snmpget -v2c -cpublic aa.bb.cc.dd 1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10892.1.700.12.1.6.1.1
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.674.10892.1.700.12.1.6.1.1 = INTEGER: 1976
so all in all this looks like it may well be the answer. I willtest this setup and let you know.
Many thanks for the extremely rapid response James.
Mark
