Clearing events after a specific failure

Hello,

What do you do when the switch on which your Zenoss is connected fail? Well, in my case, i received hundreds of sms for each monitored devices!

Is there a way to clear all following events after a specific event?

Well...no. The only way to handle this situation is through dependencies which would prevent the events in the first place. But Zenoss does not have a dependency mechanism.

The idea is to get your zenoss to monitor the switch, then use event transformation to suppress subsequent events if the switch fails.

Manual transforms are not guaranteed to work, even if your logic is correct. Check out this thread:
