Zenoss performance boost with SAN connected disks.

Hi,

We had really big troubles with our Zenoss installation after 2.5.x.

The disk I/O killed the old server and the gui crawled forward.

But after awhile I tried to connect it to our old EVA3k with astonishing results.

Well, I must admit that the old HP Proliant DL580G2 had really slow I/O performance.

Nowadays it's usable again, but I think that we can pull some more performance out of it.

Perhaps it would be nice to create a page where we can exchange hardware configs and performance data?

I don't really know how to create a good comparision for different hardware and different installations.

The hardware part is pretty easy, but how to get a good measurement on the performance of zenoss.

So that it is possible to create some kind of baseline for what to expect out of hardware x?

Any ideas?
