zenpack: not found

Hi All,
I recently installed zenoss to see what it was like, all was going ok until I reached zenpacks.
I tried installing two different zenpacks to be shown this error:
Output: |
zenpack --install /tmp/ZenPacks.community.WMIPerf_Windows-1.99-py2.4.egg |
I tried running this from the terminal as the zenoss user, This failed with the Message:
ERROR: zenpack command failed. Reason: SystemExit: Not a URL, existing file, or requirement spec bla bla bla.
Any help would be appreciated
Abe
Based on what you wrote, it looks like the file is not on your system, or you have the wrong path to it.
It's definately there, i checked the /tmp directory (which is where it says it's looking). I also made sure everyone had access to the file through chmod.
Can you provide a little more detail.
Please post the results of:
ls -l /tmp/*.egg
What is the uid under which the zenpack --install process is running?
Also, what version of Zenoss are you running?
Is this a stack install? RPMs? Built from source?
Does the symptom happen with every zenpack egg you try to install, or just this one?
Regards,
Glenn
Hi abe-zenoss,
don't install ZenPacks from /tmp, use another directory.
