I love the system and what it goves me, but i have a project that requires me to implement a central reporting solutions and interface. Im wondering if thier is anyway that Zenoss can report to another system for centraliztion and such?
Its a long story, im not sure it makes sense to me either, but choice isint really an option.
Thanks
Zenoss Core doesn't support this OOTB. Zenoss SD (or Enterprise or whatever it's called today) does, but you'd have to buy it.
In Core, you could implement something using event commands, but I would be concerned regarding the major performance hit of running a shell command for EVERY event that came in.

Yup - I've done this. My customer's requirement was to feed events up to IBM's Tivoli Enterprise Console (TEC). It is discussed here message/45112#45112 with a link to the paper I wrote documenting the solution. Basically I "hijacked" Zenoss's built-in pager solution and used a different script from there to do event forwarding.
Grab the paper from here docs/DOC-4683 and come back to me if you have further questions.
Cheers,
Jane
