CPU LINUX threshold monitoring

Easy question for you:
how do you monitor the CPU of your server linux?
I already do it but i'm not sure about it. I'm using a script found in this forum,
but i would like to know how you manage this problem...
Thanks a lot
Alex
no one of you is monitoring linux server CPU usage?
ok... i'm using this script to monitor CPU usage:
i wonder if someone of you is using different way to monitor cpu or if
all of you are using this script...
Sorry, this may have fell through the cracks. We use the built in Linux template which uses SNMP. I don't think we're worried about the multiple CPU issues that much, using load averages etc work OK for our needs, imprecise as they are.

perfect.... so i could use ssCPUidle... but i saw that they are declared OBSOLETE and DEPRECATED...
http://net-snmp.sourceforge.net/docs/mibs/ucdavis.html#ssCpuIdle
So I thought to use sscpurawidle... but... How can I get a percent from it? or how can i use the velue that this oid give to me?
You told me that we can ignore multiple cpu issue... but in my network I have servers with 1 CPU, and servers with 8 CPU...
can I really ignore it?
I hope you understand my problem...
Thanks
pleeeeeeseeee....
