Hi,
Apologies if my question sounded nonsense but I just want to clarify the announcement below.
The Community WMI Data Source ZenPack has been updated to version 1.5. If you are using this ZenPack, you MUST upgrade it before upgrading to Zenoss 2.5 or it will break your installation. There are a number of threads related to failed upgrades, please upgrade to the latest version of the ZenPack before going to Zenoss 2.5 if you haven't already done so. Thanks to Egor for updating this!
I am totally new to Zenoss and I'm still poking around to get the feel of it. I went to Software Component Versions and saw WMI 1.3.6 and Zenoss 2.5.2. Clicking ZenPacks, nothing is listed there.
What I want to accomplish is for my 8 servers to send alerts for Windows Services. So I searched and read that I have to install WMI Windows Performance with WMI Data Source as ZenPack Dependency.
My question now would be, will I be affected by the announcement since I do not have the ZenPack yet but my current Zenoss ver is 2.5. If yes, how should I proceed? Or better yet, am I understanding the concept or not.
Hoping for your clarification.
Thanks in advance.
If you don't have the zenpack, you won't be affected - install the latest release for your version of Zenoss. I would, however, recommend getting onto the 3.x line myself before changing anything up...

I'll include upgrading 3.x in my plan. For the meantime, I'll work on this WinServices and learn more on using Zenoss.
Thanks so much!
