Hi all,
I have an issue. I need to decrease the measurements collected for monitoring the interface loaded in zenoss.
How i can do it?
Thank you for your reply.
Best Regards
Can you please provide more detail. Are you looking to just change the scale of the graph, or are you looking alter the actual value that was collected?
First of all thank you for your interest.
At this time the interfaces that are discoverate be measured on parameters such as the default. I would like to know if it is possible to decrease and then choose the parameters ("MIB") that are collected for each interface.
I wanted to know then whether any such change could be beneficial to the performance level of the server where it is loaded Zenoss
Best Regards
So you want to reduce the number of things that are monitored? There are several ways to accomplish this, so we still need a little more detail.
The high level answer to your question is that you you simply need to edit the monitoring template (advanced --> monitoring templates) for the components you want to reduce.
If you're looking to filter a subset of interfaces (by name or ip), then need to look into zLocalInterfaceNames and zLocalIpAddresses in the configuration properties for your devices.
Thank you.
I found the option in zenoss v 3 but i'm not finding the same in the version 2.5. Where i can find it? Thank you
