Setting Up Monitoring for multiple networks

Good day guys
Im currently monitoring our own network with Zenoss 3.x and the newer version 4.x.
I have about 1000 wireless devices of which i pull regular information from.
I need to monitor additional networks which currently is only accessable via VPN( Different VPN Software being used for all)
I would like to keep the main server and have it to synchronise the DATA from all other networks as soon as you connect via VPN. They are all running on different IP ranges so an IP Clash should not be an issue. I would like to keep only one main web server and maybe setup polling servers on these networks.
How can all of this be achieved?
Regards
To add to this:
I do however understand that Zenoss does not use any agents. What will the ideal setup be?
Is it also possible to setup up a different Gui interface for each network by using different access rights.
- Users of network 1 can log in and monitor only devices from network 1
- Users of network 2 can log in and monitor only devices from network 2
I managed to obtain information about different access capabilities:
docs/DOC-2445#CanIsetgranularpermissionsforusers
I have not seen updated information about the newer version 4.2.3
Hello,
I am a new user of zenoss and trying to develop an infrastructure on my own. Right now, my device is sending logs (cpu, timestamp, status, and similar other metrics) in the form of log. I really appreciate if you can help me how could I solve the following.
1) How to take those log files from another device into my zenoss? Is there a place that I can create a test data and play?
2) I want to display stuff from my log files in the tabular format. Something like 4 or 5 columns and let go right data in right column. I have no clue on how to do this? Any DETAILED help please
Something like this format:
3) My data keeps on changing. So I should be able to update/replace my data every 5 minutes in the table. How should I do that?
4) How should I bring that table in the portlet or my dashboard?
Again, I am learning and I appreciate anyhelp from this community.
Hi Mike
