Hi All ,
We are monitoring NetApp filer for its disk space usage on mounted volumes . We are facing a weird issue where event generation is not happening as configured. Below are the configured info .
Threshold :
1: Warning alert for 90% usage .
2: CRITICAL alert for 95% usage.
Triggers and Notification :
1: Production state - Production
2: Trigger is set to run when in new status .
Disk space usage :
1: Volume usage vol1:94%
2: Volume usage vol2:91%
3: Volume usage vol3:92%
4: Volume Usage vol4:96%
Issue :
For volumes 1 and 3 , we are getting WARINING alert where as for 2 and 4 we see no alert event when the usage is above the threshold . I am worried on why such a weird behavior when all these filers are of same type. Zenoss is able to read the usage value but not generating the events as configured .From the logs i see that triggers are running successfully
Information :
Zenoss Service Dynamics 4.1.1
Update and answer for the seen issue
1: As per the Zenoss support - its the bug in the older version of NetApp zenpack where configuring multiple threshold for a volume would fail .
2: Remove either of threhold and validate the alerting system .
3: If it continesous to show same error then helpless .
