Hello,
I use Zenoss 4.2 Core for Network Monitoring.
I receive notification from zenoss by mail for low disk space.
The template for filesystem in wmi (FreeMegaBytes_FreeMegaBytes) is configured with a maximu value of:
here.totalBlocks * here.blockSize / 1024 / 1024 * .95
i receive notification when the disk sapce is 95%-100% used, but the problem is that i also receive a notifaction when the disk is only 0%-5% used.
Please help me figuring out what am i missing.
Thanks.
if you're looking at "free" bytes, you should set a "minimum" threshold of .05*toital. You'd use a .95*total threshold for "utilized" bytes.
Hope this helps,
Joseph
Let me clear out what i am looking for.
i want to be alerted when there is only 5% of free disk space left.
i dont want to be alreted when there is 5% used.
Thanks.
I cheated on this.. I could not figure out the formula "${here/blockSize},*"
So I added some OR conditions for the Message to must contain
: 95
OR
: 96
& so on so I only get file system alerts for 95 through 100.
Worked well & to setup was under 5 minutes.
