MONITORING URLS AS DEVICE COMPONENTS IN ZENOSS 4.2.0

I have installed Zenoss Core 4.2.0 and I need to monitor URL's. I install the ZenPack HttpComponent, but I realize that is not compatible with version the Zenoss 4.2.0. Viewing the ZenPack documentation(http://wiki.zenoss.org/ZenPack:HTTP_Components) says need to install the other ZenPack "Zenoss 4.x support, migrated to ConstructionKit"
but I did not install it this way, Could you tell me how?.
Another thing is that I do not find the command check_http in my $ZENHOME/libexec, then, do not know if also having problems with Nagios Plugin. Could you also guide me on this?
I appreciate your attention.
I await your prompt response
You'll need to install the "ConstructionKit" zenpack here:
http://wiki.zenoss.org/ZenPack:ConstructionKit
prior to installing the HTTP Components Zenpack.
Also, the check_http plugin doesn't have to be in /libexec, but it does need to be installed on the system.
Hello,
Thanks for your help.
What I did was install the "ConstructionKit", then install the ZenPack "HttpComponent" and search Binary check_http in the system, it was not in /opt/zenoss, was in "/ usr/lib64/nagios/plugins /", copy the binary check_http in /opt/zenoss and I tested. All is well.
Hi Deisy,
Did you both install the zenoss and the nagios in a linux? Why I can't find the check_http.
Hi James,
I am passionate about Linux, but recently I am working with Zenoss and Nagios. And if I found, after thinking all night ...I learned about the Zenoss in the forums..
Bye.
