Hi folks, I'm hitting this strange behavior: I've got zenoss 3.2.0 behind apache mod_proxy + ssl and it works just great, the only annoying problem is that everything works fine only if I use https://<ip-of-the-box>/ in the browser, but as soon as I use https://<fqdn-of-the-box>/ it works 99% ok, but the graphs! This is what I get from apache error log:
[Fri Oct 21 07:40:24 2011] [error] [client 88.xxx.210.54] (70014)End of file found: proxy: error reading status line from remote server 127.0.0.1, referer: https://status.myfakedomain.com/zport/dmd/Devices/Server/SSH/Linux/devices/bologna.myfakedomain.com/devicedetail#deviceDetailNav:device_graphs
[Fri Oct 21 07:40:24 2011] [error] [client 88.xxx.210.54] (70014)End of file found: proxy: error reading status line from remote server 127.0.0.1, referer: https://status.myfakedomain.com/zport/dmd/Devices/Server/SSH/Linux/devices/bologna.myfakedomain.com/devicedetail#deviceDetailNav:device_graphs
[Fri Oct 21 07:40:24 2011] [error] [client 88.xxx.210.54] proxy: Error reading from remote server returned by /zport/RenderServer/render, referer: https://status.myfakedomain.com/zport/dmd/Devices/Server/SSH/Linux/devices/bologna.myfakedomain.com/devicedetail#deviceDetailNav:device_graphs
and of course they are not displayed by the browser as if it had hit a 404 or such.
Any idea?
Turned out that the system needed a real DNS record , not enough to add the fqdn into /etc/hosts
