New ZenPacks in the Community

I'm starting a new top-level post for when new Community ZenPacks become available. As they come in, I'll continue posting them in the zenoss-zenpacks forum for individual discussion and post them here for simply announcing them. As always, Community ZenPacks are available here:

    RE: New ZenPacks in the Community
    Community member Florian Deckert submitted this ZenPack for monitoring HP ProCurve Switches. This ZenPack provides the following features:
    - Register new /Manufactures/HP/Products/ ...ProCurve... OID
    - Import basic HP mibs
    - Graph CPU usage for HP ProCurve switches and trigger an event if the CPU load if over 50%
    - Check power supplies and fans status and trigger an event if one fails
    - Convert basic traps to events

    The serial number from the modeler is not currently retrieved. The ZenPack page has the source code they wrote so if you have access to an HP ProCurve and want to fix it and add it to the ZenPack.

    to properly show volume utilization.

    With the list of available zenpacks getting so large it would be helpful if there were a publication date for each zenpack to help people determine what is new. Sort by published date would be great too. Just a thought.

    it wouldn't hurt to have a description on the zenpacks either, and possibly a how to use the darn thing.

    New ZenPacks in the Community
    We're working on revamping the website over the next few weeks, the
    date suggestion is good and will get incorporated into the redesign.
    Whenever we get a new ZenPack in, I ask the submitters for as much
    documentation as possible, but I'm always open to updating the
    descriptions and instructions to other users' inputs. If you don't
    like the docs, please send me better ones.

    New ZenPacks in the Community
    I think linking to the wiki doc site would make this really helpful.
    People can contribute little drips of info and many contributors can
    equal some useful docs . . .

    OTOH, maybe a follow up to the Zenpack contest could be Documentation
    contest... harder to maybe judge, but also could prove pretty useful.

    The HP ProCurve ZenPack has been updated to version 1.1 and the page
    has been updated to include the required organizers for getting it to
    work as well.

    New ZenPacks in the Community
    Andrea Consadori has updated his Alvarion, Netasq and Raytalk
    ZenPacks. The Alvarion has added wi2 performance (user count) and
    AlvarionWI2DeviceMap. The Netasq has added user/host count and the
    Raytalk ZenPack has added snr quality.

    New ZenPacks in the Community
    Community member Mike 'malbon' Albon has generously updated his HPUX
    ZenPack to version 2.1 and is now an .egg style ZenPack for Zenoss 2.2
    and beyond. This update fixes a few issues with filesystem monitoring.
