10:06:55 AM bbibeault: Good morning, everyone.
10:07:47 AM bbibeault: Today's QA Test Day is to cover items from the 3.0.1 release that folks have found as they have updated or performed fresh installations.
10:07:59 AM bbibeault: Please mention any issues that you have seen, or any questions that you may have had.
10:09:12 AM ericenns: one issue I faced was that smtp was being monitored on devices I didn't want to and even when I did a monitoring off for smtp on the device it still alerted me
10:09:45 AM ericenns: also same issue has applied to other users for monitoring os process
10:12:45 AM bbibeault: I am looking through current tickets; do you know if a ticket was opened for that issue already?
10:14:14 AM ericenns: I never opened a ticket and the other user didn't either
10:14:54 AM bbibeault: If you can still reproduce the issue, could you please do see?  We could try and get this addressed in the 3.0.2 timeframe (or at least examined).
10:15:25 AM bbibeault: This sounds like a regression, and I would like to get this patched ASAP.  Have you been able to find any workarounds?
10:15:27 AM ericenns: so reproduce error and create ticket?
10:15:33 AM bbibeault: Yes, please.
10:15:41 AM ericenns: I have not found a work around
10:15:59 AM bbibeault: Please put that information into the ticket, as well.  That will help with prioritization at today's defect review.
10:17:45 AM bbibeault: The list of trac tickets for 3.0.2 can be found here : http://dev.zenoss.org/trac/query?status=assigned&status=backlog&status=closed&status=fixrejected&status=new&status=verification&group=patch_state&patch=3.0.2&col=id&col=summary&col=status&col=owner&col=priority&col=milestone&col=component&col=changetime&report=6&order=status
10:18:36 AM mray: ericenns: you don't have to have a work-around, that's our job
10:19:23 AM ericenns: ok I'm not worried about that
10:25:49 AM ericenns: ok so the error reoccurs how do I open a ticket
10:28:55 AM ericenns: bbibeault: what do I use for login for creating ticket
10:29:08 AM bbibeault: I have a faq, but it seems to not be accessible.
10:29:19 AM ericenns: oh hmm
10:29:20 AM bbibeault: http://dev.zenoss.org/trac/wiki/HowToAddTicket
10:29:23 AM bbibeault: There we go.
10:35:54 AM ericenns: what should i set priority to
10:36:34 AM mray: 2
10:36:46 AM mray: we'll review the tickets later today
10:37:33 AM ericenns: should I set the Mantenince Target
10:37:33 AM bbibeault: Let me know when the ticket is in, I will make sure it has a maintenance status.
10:37:37 AM bbibeault: I will get that.
10:37:41 AM mray: ericenns: we'll handle that
10:37:54 AM ericenns: here is the ticket http://dev.zenoss.org/trac/ticket/7242
10:42:17 AM bbibeault: Updated, thanks for adding that.
10:42:36 AM ericenns: no problem
11:01:22 AM bbibeault: Does anyone else have any 3.0.1 feedback to offer?
12:06:14 PM dbenson: I hear 3.0.2 will fix the missing cisco interface descriptions in the interface listing
12:06:22 PM dbenson: nice work guys
12:07:04 PM ericenns: When I am trying to make a zenpack that provides a device class that is 2 layers deep the installation fails
12:07:26 PM bbibeault: What if the device class has already been created?
12:07:51 PM ericenns: if it has been created then it is fine but non existant it doesn't work
12:08:48 PM ericenns: would you expect an enterprise customer to have to make a device class to install a zenpack?
12:09:02 PM bbibeault: No, not at all, I am just trying to troubleshoot it a bit.
12:09:11 PM bbibeault: What if just 1 level has been created.
12:09:31 PM ericenns: i will test that
12:09:32 PM bbibeault: This will be another ticket that we can examine.
12:09:33 PM bbibeault: Thanks.
12:09:49 PM ericenns: k I will make another ticket
12:10:00 PM bbibeault: I just want to get as much info as we can into the reproduction and notes sections of the defects, so that when a developer looks at it, we actually find the problem efficiently, and there is no back and forth.
12:10:32 PM ericenns: ya that is reasonable
12:15:25 PM ericenns: the devs tell me to add each layer at a time and that solves the problem so im fine with that
12:17:04 PM bbibeault: Ok, that sounds reasonable, you mean, from the ZenPack itself.
12:17:10 PM ericenns: yes
12:52:33 PM wquesada: Hi everyone. Is there anything I can do to help you on today's QA Day ?
1:24:30 PM quas: Hi all.  Having problems with httpmonitor, not showing a site down when it really was, and was hoping for a little help with checking config out.
