I am trying to create a second collector for my network using the guidelines at  docs/DOC-2522. My master server is installed using 2.5.2 rpm so I tried to install an rpm installer by trying to map the instruction given for stack installer. Too late, I found that my knowledge with zenoss is very limited.

So I went ahead and installed the second server with stack installer and made changes as given in the help document.  I was able to get the server to work and monitor a few machines from it.

However, I started getting lot of zenmodeller errors such as

ERROR zen.ZenModeler: Problem loading plugin zenoss.snmp.NewDeviceMap

Thinking that this is due to core zenpacks not installed I tried to install the zenpacks. Surprisingly now system won't allow installing of zenpacks and is spewing out error that local mysql server cannot be reached even though the document specifically mentions we dont use local mysql server anymore.

Pls help to get this working.
