Graph on dashboard?

Hi! My version is 2.4.5

Now on my dashboard only one window: "device issues" but I want to see some graph (cpu usage, some ping graph, graph of error packets) on the Dashboard.

Is it real?

    Re: Graph on dashboard?

    1) Go to the graph you want on your dashboard.

    2) Right click on it and select "copy image url"

    3) Go to the dashboard and add a "Site Window" portlet

    4) Open the settings for the new Site Window portlet

    5) Paste in the URL, trim the end off after "&drange=129600&width=500&start=end-129600s&end=now-0s" so the labels aren't static

    6) Change the Title to whatever you want it to be (ie. the name of the graph)

    7) Save settings and you should have the graph on your dashboard

    Thanks,

Ahh, you're using 2.4.5, you'll need to install the Site Window Portlet, which is included in 2.5.

    Re: Graph on dashboard?

If you're running 2.5, the portlet is already available for adding on the Dashboard.  If you're running 2.4.5 or earlier releases, you'll need to install the ZenPack and restart zope and it will be available.

under preference - event view you can customize users event view.

than with "event view portlet" you can play with your user event custom view and create e very customized event view

    Re: Graph on dashboard?

Hello, I have been trying to display graphs for the events and several devices in my zenoss-4.2.3. I tried installing http://wiki.zenoss.org/ZenPack:Show_Graph_Portlet and ShowPortlet for 4.2.x. There were not any errors during command line installation. So I assume installation was successful.

After that "Add Portet" showed up on my zenoss UI. I then tested and tried adding new graphs. Nothing popped up except a blank portlet using "Add Portlet"

Second step, I tried following this link: [followed all steps pretty much what Matt Ray said]

    message/45993

But again I was not able to get anything. Instead it sent me "A Zenoss Error has occcured" errors.

I checked my permission issues, confirmed if I have the right graph location (I right clicked one of my graph and copied image location, and then trim off part after &drange=..... and pasted it. Is it right step? copying image location??]

Please see link below for errors. I am a new learner of zenoss. I started using zenoss since last month. I appreciate any helpful DETAILED instructions.
